Bank staff felicitated

CHENNAI: Central Bank of India celebrated International Women's Day. Vasundhara Krishnamurthy, Deputy General Manager, International Business Branch spoke. Two women staff, who won the Divisional Manager's Trophy for 2005-06, were felicitated at the meeting.

Pranayama classes

New counselling centre

Inter-collegiate quiz

Vocational education

Rotary Club of Madras South has roped in Stenographers' Guild for promoting vocational education to commemorate 101-year of Rotary movement. Kumud Jhabakh, Director, Vocational Services, informed that Rotary Club of Melvis, Australia was at present sponsoring air-conditioning and refrigeration courses.

S.V. Ramaswamy, president of the Guild, said the guild would conduct executive secretary and spoken English courses for students of corporation schools very shortly.

Held for eve-teasing

The Anna Nagar police have arrested L. Narayanan (32) of Tiruvottiyur for teasing a college student. The police said he teased the student near her house in Anna Nagar West on Friday.
