Bangalore: Carmel School, Padmanabhanagar, bid farewell to students of Class X at a function held on the school premises recently. It was a memorable day for toppers of the 2005 batch who were honoured at the function. Students who had excelled in academics, music, dance, painting and sports were given away prizes. Students spoke about their experiences in school and paid tributes to their teachers. The teachers told the students to work hard and achieve success in life. They were also advised to maintain good company. Staff members who have completed 15 years and 10 years of service were honoured.
New Baldwin
New Baldwin Residential School and Sri Satyanarayana PU College, Banaswadi jointly organised a function to recognise the achievements of students of upper kindergarten, Class X and second PUC recently. Educationist Chandrashekaraiah and Deva Prakash, Deputy Director of Public Instruction, Bangalore North, distributed certificates to the graduating students.
`Dazzling 2006'
Windermere High School, Magadi Road, celebrated its annual day `Dazzling 2006' recently. The programme began with the presentation of the school report followed by a dance drama on Lord Ganesha's birth presented by the students of Class V. Students of the nursery section gave a dance performance. High school students presented a drama "Riksha Bila" and the programme concluded with the jungle dance "Tarzan" presented by the students of Class IX. Social worker Nagaraj was the chief guest. He presented general proficiency prizes to the toppers. Pushpa Bhat of lower kindergarten received the "punctual student" award and Deepak A. of Class IX was given the "regularity prize." Vivek Jain of upper kindergarten received the "cleanliness"
SSM English School
SSM English School, Thyagarajanagar, held the graduation ceremony for its outgoing students of Class X recently. G.S. Mudambadithaya, retired professor, Regional Institute of English, who was the chief guest emphasised the importance of learning languages. M.R. Doreswamy, founder-secretary of SSM English School and PES Group of Institutions presided over the function. Radha Doreswamy, director of the institution, was present. Principal Kalpana Prakash welcomed the gathering.
Cultural show
Students of primary section of National Public School, Koramangala, presented a cultural show recently. All the 450 students of the primary section were on stage and held the audience spellbound with their performance. Students exhibited their talent in western choir, classical kritis, tabla and the like and earned praises from the gathering.
