Royal Sundaram, BASIX announce new initiatives

CHENNAI: Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance Company and BASIX have announced further initiatives for the rural sector across the country. These include Micro Enterprise Shield (assets insurance), a cover exclusively designed to take care of rural enterprises against risks of assets/stock loss due to fire, flood, riots, strikes and malicious damage. It can also be extended to cover burglary and has the scope to cover machinery breakage if necessary. Gramin Arogya Raksha, a health insurance scheme recently launched, has been successful in terms of reach and spread across the country with the insured size crossing one lakh, says a release.
