CHENNAI: The presentation by a student team from Loyola College won the top honours in an inter-collegiate paper presentation organised by department of economics of D.G. Vaishnav College here recently. The themes for the presentation were "Need for entrepreneurship" and "Export and import policies in the present scenario." Students of economics, commerce, corporate secretaryship, social work and business administration streams from various colleges participated in the event. The judges found the presentation by G.R. Rohan and Thoudam David of Loyola College as the best followed by the presentation by V. Lavanya of D.G. Vaishnav College. The contest was to hone the presentation skills of the students, said S. Narasimhan, college vice-principal. Such skills could come in handy when applying for jobs as companies insisted upon them. The team from Loyola College focused on the Indian perspective of textile industry while V.Lavanya of D.G.Vaishnav College underscored the need to promote youth entrepreneurship education.
