BANGALORE: The autorickshaw drivers union, affiliated to Centre for Indian Trade Unions, has cautioned autorickshaw drivers from paying more than Rs. 125 for recalibrating meters in the wake of the revised fare which came into effect on Wednesday last. In a statement, the union said instances of authorised autorickshaw meter repairers demanding drivers to pay between Rs. 350 and Rs. 400 for recalibration of meters have come to its notice. The autorickshaw owners have been given three months to recalibrate the meters. The union has asked the drivers not to pay more than Rs. 125 for getting the meters recalibrated, according to the statement.
