This service is available for all prepaid and postpaid Airtel mobile subscribers from over one lakh plus Airtel retail outlets. This makes Airtel the largest retailer for music not only within the country but also in the world. Hemant Sachdev, Director, Marketing and Communication, Bharti Tele-Ventures, said in a release that Airtel's innovative Easy Music service would bring music even closer to the masses. "It not only spells convenience but also offers more choice and better access," he said. Jay Kim, Senior Executive Vice-President, WiderThan Co. (an affiliate of SK Telecom) said, "Easy Music is a revolutionary product that has never been attempted by any mobile operator in the world. "With the market for mobile music set to grow exponentially in India, I believe that this product is set to redefine music retailing and will be a benchmark service for all operators internationally". Airtel mobile users can choose their favourite song from an Airtel Easy Music outlet. The retailer will download the desired song to the customer's mobile either as Hello Tune or ringtone depending on customer's choice.
