Mr. Alok Kumar Misra assumed charge as Executive Director of the public sector Canara Bank. Mr. Misra was formerly general manager of the Bank of India. His areas of specialisation include treasury operations, international banking and corporate planning. Mr. Misra succeeds Mr B Swaminathan who has moved over to head the Lord Krishna Bank.
