Chit fund company told to pay Rs. 14,500

ANANTAPUR: The State Consumer Forum, Hyderabad, has directed a chit fund company here to pay a former member, the amount he paid as instalment with 9 per cent interest. One D.G.S. Rao joined a chit group in 1996 and paid 17 instalments before transferring it to another person. However, the company cancelled Mr. Rao's membership. The forum directed the company to pay Mr. Rao Rs. 14,500.
