Bag with Rs. 1.3 lakhs in cash snatched

BANGALORE: Two motorcycle-borne men snatched a bag containing Rs. 1.3 lakhs in cash from a person riding a motorcycle after diverting his attention in Indiranagar police station limits on Saturday.

According to the police, the incident occurred at New Thippasandra when Prasad, an employee of a private firm at Wilson Garden, was riding his two-wheeler with the bag around 12.30 p.m. The police said the two persons told him that oil was leaking from his vehicle and when Prasad was busy finding a piece of paper to clean the "oil leak", they snatched the bag and fled. Indiranagar police have registered a case.

Phone snatched

Two persons riding a motorcycle snatched a mobile phone from a pedestrian in Hebbal police station limits on Saturday night.

The police said Guruswamy was walking on Bellary Road talking on his cellphone when the culprits stopped near him and snatched the phone before fleeing.

Hebbal police have registered a case.

Investigation is on.
