Back Antique jewellery range from Kirtilals

Coimbatore-based retail jewellery chain Kirtilals launched its largest antique jewellery collection in Bangalore on Monday. About 1,000 pieces of exclusive design, created in-house will be on display for a month starting March 27, 2006.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Balaji Viswanathan, Head, Marketing, Kirtilals Retail Division, said that a consumer survey had shown that Bangaloreans prefer antique jewellery. "About 8-10 per cent of our sales comes from antique jewellery in the city. During this period we expect this figure to reach 15-20 per cent in the next one month." The jewellery range starting with Rs 5,000 per piece goes up to Rs 5 lakh, he said.

Kirtilals, a Rs 145-crore group currently has a presence all over South India, including Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi and Hyderabad.

Mr Viswanathan said that in another four years, the company plans to have a national and global footprint.
