There is a need to constantly innovate for organisations to develop intellectual capital in them, according to Dr A.K. Balyan, Director, Human Resources and Business Development, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.

Inaugurating a two-day southern India regional conference of the National Institute of Personnel Management on the topic `Nurturing intellectual capital for organisation excellence' here on Monday, Dr Balyan said that investment is necessary in improving competency and capabilities of people to remain competitive. Mr K.S. Suresh Babu, Inspector-General of Police, Western Range, spoke on the occasion. Mr P.A. Jose, Chairman of the Mangalore Chapter of NIPM, welcomed the gathering. The former presidents of NIPM, Mr U. Chowbay and Mr Amar Pandeya, were present. Delegates from southern States are attending the two-day conference.
