Jharkhand MLAs in Jaipur

JAIPUR: The ruling party MLAs from Jharkhand, led by Chief Minister Arjun Munda, arrived here on Monday on a "pilgrimage," even as the Opposition Congress raised the issue of "herding" of the legislators. The MLAs, numbering 40, checked into a five-star hotel on Jawaharlal Nehru Marg.

While the threat to the stability of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Government in Jharkhand, in the wake of the chances of disqualification of MLAs holding office of profit, has apparently brought the party MLAs once again to Rajasthan, the reasons given for their presence: thanksgiving visit to the Dargah of Kwaja Moinuddin Chisti at Ajmer and invitation to participate in the ongoing Rajasthan Day celebrations.
