Programming the brain for success

CHENNAI: The human brain can be programmed just like a computer to get the required results, according to motivational trainers of OnlySuccess, an organisation that employs neurolinguistic programming (NLP) for personality development.

At the valediction of a training course `Born to Win' held here on Sunday, Praveen Sherman, training director of OnlySuccess, said great achievers exhibit common patterns of thinking and behaviour.

Understanding this pattern and adopting the same formula could help people attain success, he said.

NLP is considered to be a strategy to make a fast, effective change.

The organisation's training course uses word cues, posters, interactive games, talks and experience sharing to motivate people to change.

Mr. Sherman said participants are first required to list their limiting beliefs and then work to change them.

One of the activities at the programme is called board breaking.

Participants make a list of their limiting beliefs on a wooden board and break it with their bare hands to symbolise their victory over those limitations.

The company also offers an advanced course and a course for children and teenagers.

The fees range from Rs.6,500 to Rs.6,900.

The training period is four days.
