CHENNAI: Airtel Broadband and Telephone Services has unveiled "discover the skies" offer under which it promises a free domestic onward and return air travel to select destinations to those opting for some of its landline or internet packages. A press release from the company said the scheme was open to only those who are booking the connections before April 10. Such customers would be eligible for the free air travel only on installation of the connection and need to pay the airport tax of Rs.422.
Landline connection
The offer is available to those opting for a landline connection on a tariff plan of Rs.299 and upward, and those purchasing Internet connection on a tariff plan of Rs.499 upwards. All that the customers ought to do was to specify three travel dates of their choice along with three from the list of select destinations to a designated travel agency. Their travel should be before October 30 this year. On confirmation of the travel schedule, they should pay the airport tax. The scheme is applicable for the residential, commercial, SME, STD and PCO segments. The select destinations are Bangalore, Cochin, New Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Vishakhapatnam, Thiruvanthapuram, Coimbatore and Bhubaneswar.
