Clarification

With reference to the report published in these columns of The Hindu , dated March 23, 2006, under the heading, `Srinivasa Bagavathar dead,' D. Swaminathan, advocate of Tiruvaiyaru writes:

Srinivasa Bagavathar was appointed by the Bangalore Nagarathinammal Trust to perform poojas at the Samadhi in about 1960.

An appeal is pending in the Fast Track Court at Thanjavur regarding the sudden hereditaryship of Srinivasa Bagavathar.
