BANGALORE: Four armed men attacked an employee of a private transport company and robbed him of a mobile phone in Rajagopalanagar police station limits late on Sunday night. Police said Mahantesh, who works as a booking clerk at a transport company's office in Rajajinagar, alighted from a BMTC bus at Goruguntepalya. The men stabbed him with a knife and relieved him of the mobile phone worth Rs. 3,000. The Rajagopalanagar police have registered a case.
Mobile phone snatched
In another incident, two men, who came on a motorcycle, snatched a mobile phone worth Rs. 3,500 from a software engineer in J.P. Nagar police station limits on Sunday night. Police said that around 9 p.m. M.K. Manoj, a resident of 6th Cross, 4th Main, 3rd Phase, was walking towards a shop near his house. While he was speaking on his mobile phone, the duo snatched the phone. The J.P. Nagar police have registered a case.
Stolen
A thief reportedly put his hand through an open window and stole two mobile phones, together worth Rs. 10,000, from a businessman's house in Vidyaranyapura police station limits in the early hours of Monday. The police said that around 3.30 a.m. the thief made away with the phones that were kept on a table at Gurudatta's house in 3rd Block, BEL Layout. The Vidyaranyapura police have registered a case.
Hit-and-run
R. Devaraj (43) was killed in a hit-and-run case reported from Ulsoor Gate traffic police station limits on Sunday night. Police said that Devaraj, a resident of Sudhamanagar, was riding on a scooter near the Sir Puttanna Chetty Town Hall, when another scooter hit his vehicle and sped away. He was killed on the spot. The Ulsoor Gate traffic police have registered a case.
