Nalco achieves record producton

BHUBANESWAR: National Aluminium Company Ltd. (Nalco) has established new records in production and sales during 2005-06. The company achieved its highest-ever metal production of 3.58 lakh tonnes against 3.38 lakh tonnes. Alumina hydrate production of 15.9 lakh tonnes is also a new record (15.755 lakh tonnes). The company's power plant too achieved record generation of 5,678 million units against 5,613 million units, a Nalco spokesman said.
