`Nandini' to take on Milma

KOCHI: State-run Kerala Milk Marketing Federation, which markets milk under the brand name Milma, may have to pull up its socks. Competition is at the door, with the Karnataka Milk Federation all set to open its sales depot here in the city.

Milma has been enjoying almost a monopoly because of the pioneering status of this well-known brand. The Mysore-Chamarajanagar District Cooperative Milk Producers' Societies Union Ltd under the auspices of the Karnataka Mil Federation Limited will launch its milk `Nandini' in the city on Wednesday.
