Insurance cover for electrocution, damage to appliances

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company has obtained various insurance policies for a year from January 1.

The policies will cover accidents owing to electrocution resulting in loss of human life or injury and damage of electrical appliances owned by domestic consumers owing to voltage fluctuation.

People can claim losses owing to the fault of BESCOM by submitting a claim form at the Sub-Divisional Assistant Executive Engineer's office. The claim forms are available at the engineer's office as well as on BESCOM's website www.bescom.org, an official release said.
