Bangalore: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has recovered properties worth Rs. 2 crore, which were illegally occupied by land grabbers, through a demolition drive taken up on Wednesday in the upmarket Indiranagar area. Two sites each measuring 30X40 ft in Indiranagar Second Stage and another site of the same dimension and one measuring 20X40 ft in HAL 3rd Stage were taken into possession by the BDA after demolishing sheds and other unauthorised buildings that had come up over the plots. About 25 huts, which had come up on a site measuring 250X100 ft and earmarked for civic amenities, were cleared by the BDA. The demolition was carried out by the BDA task force with assistance from the local police.
