Traffic to be hit for Kalam's visit

BANGALORE: Vehicular movement will be affected in central parts of the city on Thursday and Friday in view of President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's visit.

According to a press release from Commissioner of Police Ajai Kumar Singh, traffic is likely to be affected from 9 p.m. to midnight on Thursday on Airport Road, Infantry Road, Trinity Church Road, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Dickenson Road, Cubbon Road and Raj Bhavan Road.

On Friday, traffic will be affected on Raj Bhavan Road, Infantry Road, Cubbon Road, Dickenson Road, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Trinity Church Road, Airport Road, Domlur Road and Airport Road (between 8.30 a.m. and 10 a.m.); Airport Road, Domlur Road, Trinity Church Road, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Dickenson Road, Cubbon Road, Raj Bhavan Road, Dr. Ambedkar Road, Old Post Office Road and Seshadri Road (between 3 p.m. and 4.30 p.m.); Seshadri Road, Old Post Office Road and Dr. Ambedkar Road (between 4.30 p.m. and 6 p.m.)

Temple fair

The police have banned movement of vehicles on Mysore Road from April 7 to 9 in view of the annual fair at Sri Gali Anjaneya Swamy Temple.

According to a press release from Mr. Singh, vehicles will not be allowed from KIMCO junction to Sirsi Circle and from Hosaguddadahalli junction to KIMCO junction on Mysore Road. The ban will be in force from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. on Saturday to 10 a.m. on Sunday.
