Gold ends at new high

MUMBAI: The price of gold shattered all previous records and closed at a historic high of Rs. 8,665 per 10 gram on the bullion market here on Thursday owing to increased buying after a sharp rise in the global market. Silver also recovered to end at a new high of Rs. 17,870 per kg on good buying in line with gold.
