All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, is inviting applications for its entrance tests for admission to the following programmes: B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing: duration: four years; 50 seats. Those who have passed Class XII/ Plus Two equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English as subjects securing not less than 55 per cent marks (for SC/ST 50 per cent marks) in aggregate in these subjects can apply. Only girl students are eligible. Selection is based on the entrance test to be held on June 18. B.Sc. (Hons) paramedical courses: ophthalmic techniques: 12 seats; medical technology in radiography: 6 seats; duration three years. Those who passed 10+2/equivalent examination with English, physics, chemistry, and biology, or mathematics securing not less than 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate are eligible. Entrance test is on June 7 with Delhi as the only test centre. Those who are appearing for 10+2/equivalent examination in March/April 2006 and whose results are likely to be declared before July 1 are also eligible. Applicants should be 17 years as on December 31, 2006. M.Sc. anatomy (3 seats), biochemistry (3), biophysics (3), physiology (3), pharmacology (3), perfusion technology (4), nuclear medicine technology (4); urology technology (3). Medical biotechnology (10 seats); M.Sc. Nursing - cardiological/CTVS nursing (2); oncological nursing (2); neuroscience nursing (2); nephrological nursing (2); critical care nursing (2); paediatrics nursing (2); psychiatric nursing (2). Prospectus-cum-application form is common for all courses. Only one application need be submitted for the two paramedical courses. The forms can be obtained by sending a written request along with crossed bank draft for Rs. 550 (Rs. 450 for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of the Director, AIIMS, New Delhi. The draft must be issued by SBI and payable at the State Bank of India, Service Branch (Code No. 7687), New Delhi. The request should reach the Assistant Controller of Examinations, AIIMS on or before April 25. The envelope should be super-scribed `Request for prospectus-cum-application form for M.Sc./M.
