Second Lipton Bangalore Marathon

Over 22,000 participants expected this year

BANGALORE: The big day is just a month away. The second Lipton Bangalore Marathon is to be held on May 15 and expected to have more than the last year's participation of 22,000 on the roads.

Celebration Run

The 42.195 km marathon, the 21.1 km half marathon and the 7 km Celebration Run across the city will be flagged off in the morning from Kanteerva Stadium.

The route will be through the city's landmarks such as Vidhana Soudha, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Cubbon Park, General Post Office, High Court, Sir Seshadri Iyer Memorial Library and back again to the stadium.

Participants have the choice of pledging a donation for any charity of their liking.

Karnataka Athletic Association is supporting the run.
