Unfilled seats will be offered under general merit category

BANGALORE: As many as 109 postgraduate dental seats were filled till 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the seat selection process arranged here by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K).

A total of 256 seats in 16 dental colleges attached to COMED-K were available for selection when the counselling commenced at 11.45 a.m., almost three hours behind schedule at the city's Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS). The delay was mainly due to the clarifications sought by students and the explanations of the COMED-K personnel.

The seat selection process will continue from 8 a.m. on Wednesday till the last rank. The unfilled seats will be denotified and offered under general merit category on April 13, COMED-K Executive Secretary S. Kumar said.
