Aircel's talking SMS in TN

Aircel has launched a new value-added service, talking SMS, to its customers in Tamil Nadu. Designed as an user-friendly service, the talking SMS will enable the subscriber send SMS with a personal touch using his or her own language and it gives the user the freedom from typing the message/sending it even, thus saving the time too. According to an Aircel press release, to use the facility, the subscriber has to dial 545 followed by the recipient's number and record his message. An option to edit the message too is provided. On confirmation, the message will be sent to the receiver. The recipient will receive the SMS from the sender's number giving him the details. The recipient has to dial a toll-free number 535 to retrieve his talking SMS. The Aircel communication said the newly introduced service would be available as a free trial offer till April 30.
