CHENNAI: The Mukti Foundation, providing help in rehabilitating the physically challenged, has completed 20 years recently.

With its headquarters at Meenambakkam and a branch near Pondicherry, the organisation provided mobility devices to more than 1 lakh persons free of cost, said director Meena Dadha.

The Foundation has held a number of camps all over the country and received quality certification for its artificial foot from the International Society for Prosthetics & Orthotics in Denmark.

The State Government has deputed more than 100 technicians trained by the foundation, including orthotic technicians.

Vocational training

The Foundation also organises vocational training and rehabilitation for the physically and mentally challenged, sport and cultural shows.
