Two killed in accident

THALASSERY: Two people riding in a motorcycle were fatally crushed between two lorries near the Eranholi bridge here on Tuesday.

The victims of the accident have been identified as P.V. Narayanan (59) of Ponnyam and Sujaykumar (49) of Eranholi.

According to eyewitnesses, the two-wheeler was driving behind a lorry laden with laterite bricks. When the lorry applied brakes, the bike rider also applied brakes. But another lorry which was coming behind hit the two-wheeler against the other lorry. Both died on the spot.
