MYSORE: Krishnaraja Assembly Constituency MLA M.K. Somashekar received a litany of complaints during his padayatra in Mysore City Corporation's ward number 23 on Thursday. The complaints putforth to the MLA by residents of ward number 23 in areas adjoining New Kantharaj Urs Road ranged from irregular water supply and blocked underground drainage system to unscheduled power cuts and sub-standard road works. Mr. Somashekar, who is identified with former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's All India Progressive Janata Dal (AIPJD), heard the grievances of the residents and took to task officials of the Mysore City Corporation, who were accompanying him. He directed the officials to set right the problems within the next few days. Mr. Somashekar, who began his padayatra at 8 a.m., managed to cover most residential localities falling under ward number 23. He was accompanied by corporator Vasanthakumar, assistant executive engineer of the city corporation Govindappa, Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Company (Chescorp) assistant executive engineer Prabhakar, corporation health inspector Ramu, Vani Vilas Water Works inspector Vijayprasad and others.
