"Yatra was to warn countrymen about the grave security situation"

JAIPUR: The "Bharat Suraksha Yatra" led by the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, L. K. Advani, entered Rajasthan at Naya Gaon in Chittorgarh on Monday.

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and the State BJP president Mahesh Sharma accompanied by other party leaders, MPs and workers, welcomed Mr. Advani.

The Advani entourage, resumed after two-days' break, entered Rajasthan in the afternoon from Madhya Pradesh at Bagori border.

On his entry, Mr. Advani saluted the soil of Rajasthan recollecting his early days of public life, which he had started in the State as a worker of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

In his address, Mr. Advani said the United Progressive Alliance Government at the Centre could not be trusted with the security of the country.

"The Government is doing nothing even as the security and safety of the country are seriously threatened," he said.

The yatra is scheduled to reach the State capital on Tuesday evening after touching Beawar, Ajmer and Dudu.
