The Hindu Opportunities Job Fair on May 20, 21

BANGALORE: The Hindu Opportunities Job Fair will be held at the Trade Centre Bangalore, Export Promotion Industrial Park, Whitefield Industrial Area on May 20 and 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job seekers over 20 years of age, including graduates, postgraduates and professionals with two to 10 years' experience, can participate. To register their names, they can visit the websites — www.thehindu.com or www.tmifirst.com/hf6/index.aspx. After registration, candidates will be short-listed, and tests and interviews conducted for them. They can expect to be recruited by big companies from the sectors of information technology (IT) and IT-enabled Services.

Here is a glimpse of the procedure after a candidate registers for the fair. Participating companies will screen the registered CVs of graduates, postgraduates and professionals with less than two years' experience. Invitations will be sent to candidates whose profiles match the companies' requirements.

The candidates will be allowed entry only on the basis of invitations sent by companies. The last date for registrations is May 10. The participating companies have the final decision on candidates, and no communication in this regard will be entertained.

Professionals with two to 10 years' experience can register their names any time before the fair concludes. They can attend the event along with a printout of confirmation of registration. There will be a separate fast-track entry for experienced professionals.

Cognizant Technology Solutions India (P) Ltd. is the event sponsor. Patni Computer Systems Ltd., Suntec Business Solutions (P) Ltd. and Verizon Data Services India (P) Ltd are associate sponsors. TMI First is the technology partner.
