Double for Ranjith and Vidya Sagar

PRODDATUR: It was a golden double for T. Ranjith Kumar and B. Vidya Sagar in the boys under-20 category in the A.P. State junior athletics meet at the Government Polytechnic grounds here on Thursday.

Also striking gold twice were Javvad Ur Rehman (boys under-18) and Noorjahan Begum (girls under-16).

The three-day meet is sponsored jointly by KCP Projects, Joy Ice Creams and Zuari Cement.

Krishna district gymnasts

At Vijayawada, 13 gymnasts have been selected for the Krishna district gymnastic teams to participate in the state-level selections to be held at L.B. Stadium, Hyderabad, on May 6 and 7, according A.V. Raju, secretary, Krishna District Gymnastics Association here on Thursday.
