BANGALORE: A man put his hands through a window and snatched two gold chains, estimated at Rs. 35,000, from a housewife in Subramanyapura police station limits in the early hours of Thursday. The police said that around 4 a.m., the thief snatched the chain from Dhakshayini while she was sleeping close to the window at her house in Sarvabhoumanagar. On a complaint by her husband Bhaskar, the Subramanyapura police have registered a case. In another incident, a youth snatched a gold chain estimated at Rs. 20,000 from an elderly woman in Hebbal police station limits on Thursday morning. The police said the youth came from behind and snatched the chain from Rajini (55) while she was walking in Coffee Board Layout. The Hebbal police have registered a case.
Suicide
An autorickshaw driver, a father of seven, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a sari at his house in Jnana Bharathi police station limits on Wednesday evening. The police gave his name as Mahadevaiah (45), a resident of Ramamurthy Layout in Malagala.
