CPI (M-L) secretary Chittipati Venkateswarlu, in a press statement here on Sunday, said that the Maoists had invited Ashok dalam of New Democracy for talks at Illendu on March 15 and attacked them in a planned manner, seized their weapons and abused them. The local people resented this. To cover up this heinous act, Mr. Venkateswarlu said that the Maoists had weaved a story that there was resentment among people against New Democracy and so they seized their weapons and handed them over to Maoists. .-Special Correspondent
