Nimishananda's discourses will help people learn the importance of patience: Governor

BANGALORE: Governor T.N. Chaturvedi on Sunday lauded the efforts of Sri Nimishananda Swamy in bringing about transformation in people and leading them to an enlightened way of living.

The Governor, who attended the kumbhabhisheka of Sri Nimishamba Devi Temple at Rajarajeshwari Nagar here, said the guruji had changed the lives of many people who came to him seeking advice.

"In his discourses, Sri Nimishananda Guruji explains the essence of Vedanta, and his teachings encompass all areas of our lives. If more people listen to guruji, they will learn the importance of patience, tolerance and unconditional love," the Governor said.

On Sunday, Sri Nimishananda Swamy supervised the kumbhabhisheka celebrations. Sri Sacchidananda Saraswathi Mahaswamy, Sri Nityananda Giri Swamy and Sri Shantinatha Swamy participated.

Rs. 6-cr. temple

According to the temple authorities, the Nimishamba Temple, which has been built at a cost of Rs. 6 crore, is constructed with red laterite stone in the traditional Parashurama Kshetra architecture style.

Designed as per the Agama Sastras, this temple has the shrines of Devi Nimishamba, Moukthikeswara (Siva), Siddhi Vinayaka, Lakshmi Narayana and Saraswathi. Of the two specially designed meditation halls in the basement, one will be used for meditation and the other to conduct regular satsangs, bhajans and discourses, the temple authorities have said.

"Nitya Chandika Homa" will be performed at the Yajna Shala, which is a part of the temple complex. "Nitya Annadana" will also form a part of the temple activities, according to the temple authorities.
