Bangalore: Ever since illusionist David Blaine started his amazing feat of being underwater in a sphere and is trying to hold his breath for nine minutes, it seems that the others have been inspired to try record-breaking feats.

Looks like there is no dearth of daredevils in Bangalore. Almost every other day, we hear about some person who performed an unusual and adventurous feat in an attempt to break or create a record.

That is what C. Naveen Kumar is attempting. The young man from Bangalore, who works as a mechanic at the Tata Institute Foundation and Research Centre, is going to perform an incredible feat on Tuesday at 4 p.m. and he wants to get into the Guinness Book of World Records through his achievement.

He will drive a four-wheeler from Gauribidanur to Mantralaya in Andhra Pradesh, covering 800 km in 18 hours, with his hands and legs tied. The idea is to create a record by doing so.

He is being supported by members of the Diamond Sports Club of Gauribidnur, who told presspersons about the feat here on Monday. A record in this category has been created by a person in Kerala, who drove 600 km in 15 hours in the same way.
