BANGALORE: Sri Vani Education Centre, Magadi Road, organised "A dialogue with the scientist" programme recently. Sri Vani Science Park, the sprawling campus was the venue. Roddam Narasimha, Chairman (Engineering and Mechanics Unit), Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advance Scientific Research, interacted with students and shared his experiences with them.
Annual day
T. Mohan Rao, Director, Gas Turbine Research Establishment and Chairman Vidyalaya Management Committee, was the chief guest. He lauded the efforts of the principal, staff and students in achieving success in academics as well as co-curricular activities and hoped that the school would continue to maintain a lead over other Kendriya Vidyalayas of Bangalore. Mr. Rao distributed prizes to meritorious students. Neha Magadum, a student of class I and a physically challenged child, received a special prize for her achievements in academics. Einstein House received the best house award. G. K. Sharath received the overall topper prize. The cultural programme showcased dances from Kashmir to Orissa. Children presented skits in English, Hindi and Sanskrit. The programme concluded with a Bharatanatya presentation.
Cultural programmes
Principal N. Prabhakaran presented the annual report and highlighted the school's excellence in academics and various inter and intra-school achievements. "Conservation of natural resources and protection of environment" was the main theme of the cultural programme and students presented skits, folk drama and dances based on the theme.
