IT, ITES firms looking forward to job fair

The Hindu Opportunities fair on May 20 and 21

Bangalore: The Hindu Opportunities Job Fair 2006 is round the corner. The fair, which catered to over 45,000 job seekers last year, is all set to employ more number of candidates with attractive remunerations.

IT and ITES companies that are flocking to pick out the best aspirants at the Trade Centre, Export Promotion Industrial Park, Whitefield, on May 20 and 21 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. And for eligibility, graduates, postgraduates and professionals with two to 10 years' of experience can participate.

To register, the interested candidates could browse the net for (www.thehindu.com) or (www.tmifirst.com/hf6/index.aspx) . Those registered can look out for reputed Information Technology (IT) and IT-Enabled Services (ITES) companies.

Screening

For professionals with less than two years experience, the companies will pre-screen the registered resumes including the engineering stream. Invitations will be sent to the candidates, whose profiles match with those of the companies' requirements. The candidates will be allowed entry only based on the invitations sent by the participating firms. The decision of the participating companies on which the candidates are invited, will be final and no communication will be entertained in this regard. Professionals with two to 10 years' experience can register anytime before the end of the event. They can simply walk in to the job fair along with the printout of the registration confirmation form.

Companies participating

Cognizant Technology Solutions India (P) Ltd. is the event sponsor for the Job Fair while Patni Computer Systems Ltd., Suntec Business Solutions (P) Ltd. and Verizon Data Services India (P) Ltd. are the associate sponsors. TMI First is the technology partner. The other participants will include ABB Ltd., Infosys Technologies Ltd., Accenture, HCL, Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd., and ICICI OneSource Ltd..
