Eurocopter wins Igor Sikorsky trophy

NEW DELHI: Eurocopter has been awarded the American Helicopter Society's Igor Sikorsky International Trophy for achieving the high-altitude world record with AS350 B3 landing atop Mount Everest on May 14 and 15, 2005. Following experimental flights up to 10,211 metres in April 2005, this ultimate record of a helicopter was the fifth in a row for the AS350 B3 chopper.
