Kolkata: The industry in West Bengal has congratulated the Left Front's massive victory, even as it expects bold policy measures to unleash the next phase of economic reforms. President of the Indian Chamber of Commerce S.K. Bangur said the results were a reflection of the people's confidence in the economic progress spearheaded by Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and his team. Sanjiv Goenka, vice-chairman, RPG group, said this was a mandate for the "Do it now" policies of the Left Front administration. He was confident of the State's continued success and performance in the next five years.
"Avoid illegal strikes"
Strong measures needed to be taken to avoid illegal strikes and bandhs, which only help to negate the positive image created by the Chief Minister's efforts, said Mr. Bangur.
