BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Government has decided to promote the concept of e-governance in a big way by setting up public utility centres to issue certificates and other documents to the people. Initially this scheme would be launched at the district level and there is a plan to extend it gradually till the block and tehsil levels. An official spokesman here said that the public utility centres to be called the "Jan Suvidha Kendras", would be an improvement on the well known Ahamad Nagar model and the single window system introduced earlier in Madhya Pradesh. People will not only receive certificates and tender applications but also get proper assistance in submitting their applications at these centres. Banking and affidavit related services would also be available.
