Manavjit sixth on day one

New Delhi: Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Manavjit Singh Sandhu shot a score of 48 to be placed sixth on the first day of the qualification rounds in men's trap event at the ISSF World Cup at Kerrville, USA.

Sandhu fired two near perfect rounds of 24 and was tied with five other shooters.

Anwer Sultan shot 43 (21+22) for 50th position while Birendeep Sodhi scored 41 (22+19) to be placed 64th.

The leading pack of three contestants had scored 49.

Three more rounds of 25 targets each will be shot on Friday. — PTI
