Career counselling

KOLLAM: Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan will inaugurate a career counselling camp at S.N. College for Women here on May 17. The camp is being organised by the SNDP Youth Movement and the SNDP Kollam Union. Kannur University Vice-Chancellor P. Chandramohan, head of the Kerala University Commerce Department M. Consumer information centre opened

KOCHI: The Kerala Civil Supplies Corporation Limited has opened a consumer information centre at the Corporation's office in the city. A press release said here on Thursday that a facility would be put in place for consumers to test the food samples they bring. KOCHI: The mood outside the District Collectorate, from where real-time information on the progress of counting of votes in 14 constituencies was announced, bore a sombre look from the time counting began.People gathered in large numbers inside the Collectorate but did not enter the civil station premises due to the strict warnings issued against people thronging the area around the media centre. Robbery attempt foiled

KOZHIKODE: An attempt by four persons to rob the main branch of State Bank of India (SBI) at Mananchira here on Thursday was foiled by the intervention of the employees and security staff. The police said S. Suresh, 29, frS. Kumaran, 28, G. Jan, 35, from Trikkarampalli in Tamil Nadu, and R. Raju, were overpowered by the security staff and employees and handed over to the police. —
