Srinagar: The CBI on Thursday registered a fresh case against unnamed persons for allegedly being involved in the Kashmir sex racket. The CBI team, led by Deputy Inspector-General Pankaj Sinha of Special Crimes, filed the case in a designated court here and later took over all the case property from the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The team, which comprises women CBI officers, would question certain arrested individuals, CBI sources said. The case has been filed under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, which states that "publishing of information which is obscene in electronic form" is an offence punishable to a maximum imprisonment of five years in case of a first-time offender and 10 years for those who repeat it. .
