Child dies of burns

KOCHI: An eight-year-old boy, Princy, from Munnar succumbed to burns at Medical Trust Hospital on Thursday. Son of Mohan of Thekkekara House, Kuthingal Colony, Chinnakanal in Munnar, Princy was brought to the hospital with about 80 per cent burns on Saturday. He was earlier admitted to Theni Medical College. Princy suffered burns while trying to light a kerosene stove. — Staff Reporter

Orientation course on stock markets

Kochi: An orientation course conducted by the Cochin Stock Exchange on stock markets and other market variables will begin at Capital Market Institute on May 15.
