Morcha to expose failures of the Congress-led Government

  • Campaign highlighting the `pro-people' programmes of the JD(S)-BJP Government to be taken up
  • Union Government accused of not being able to check terrorist attacks
  • Over one lakh workers, to attend conference in Bangalore

Belgaum: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha will launch a nationwide campaign, including protest demonstrations, dharnas and conferences to "expose" the alleged failures of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre.

General Secretary of State unit of the Yuva Morcha Phaneesh told presspersons here on Friday that the workers will take up a campaign highlighting the "pro-people" decisions and programmes of the Janata Dal (Secular)-Bharatiya Janata Party coalition Government in State.

Mr. Phaneesh, who is leading one of the four teams formed to mobilise workers for its July 31 conference at Bangalore, criticised the UPA's economic policies which had resulted in the increase in the prices of fuel and essential commodities. He alleged that the Union Government was unable to check terrorist attacks.

While the common man was finding it difficult to cope up with the spiralling prices of essential commodities, the educated unemployed youth were becoming restive, he said.

He said the objective of the conference was to draw the attention of not only the party workers towards the burning issues but also of the members of public.

BJP president Rajnath Singh and national Yuva Morcha president Dharmendra Pradhan will address the conference. A least one lakh workers are expected to attend the conference, he added.
