Power shutdown in many areas of city today

The disruption in power supply is because of maintenance work

Bangalore: There will be no power supply between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday in parts of the city owing to maintenance work on the 66 kV /11 kV HAL I and II primary line and "B" Station, Leela Venture, K.C. Valley, Amarajyothi and HAL station by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd.

According to a press release here on Saturday, the areas that will be affected are Marathalli, BEML Factory, Airport Road, ADA Control Tower, Indiranagar, J.B. Nagar, Hoody village, G.M. Palya, RHB Colony, Seetharampalya, ITI Auxiliary unit, NGEF Auxiliary unit, Graphite Road, Mahadevapura, Brigade Road, Church Street, M.G. Road, Lavelle Road, Residency Road, Kasturba Road, St. Mark's Road, Golden Enclave, Kodihalli, Manipal Hospital, Nagasandra, Challaghatta, Murugeshapalya, NAL, K.R. Garden, Kempapura, Wind Tunnel Road, Konana Agrahara, Amarjyoti Layout, Krishna Reddy Layout, parts of Domlur Layout, Diamond District, Ashwini Layout, Geethanjali Layout, BEML Factory, Basavanagar, Malleshpalya, L.B. Shastri Nagar, A.S. Palya, Vibhathipura, Vignananagar, Kaggadasapura, Karthiknagar, Siddapura, Munnekolal, Ashwathnagar, Sanjaynagar, HAL 3rd Stage and surrounding areas.

Water adalats on

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) will conduct a water adalat for residents of South-3 subdivision comprising BTM Layout and J.P. Nagar service station areas from 9.30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on May 15.

A water adalat for residents of West subdivision comprising Rajajinagar (1st to 6th Block), Mahalakshmi Layout, Peenya Industrial Area, Subramanyanagar, Nandini Layout, Milk Colony and Kethamaranahalli service station areas and residents of South-East subdivision comprising Koramangala and HSR Layout service station areas will be held from 9.30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on May 16.

The adalats will be held at the offices of the respective subdivisional officers.
