Four labourers killed as lorry runs over them

Chennai: Four contract labourers were fatally hit by a speeding lorry near Elavoor in Tiruvallur district on Saturday. Kumar (22), Pulisreenivasalu (20), Thambanaresh (19) and Naresh (19) were walking to work when the lorry ran over them. The youth are from Andhra Pradesh. A case has been filed against the lorry driver. Investigations are on.

In another accident near Pattabiram on Sunday morning, a 60-year-old man was killed. K. Adikesavan was riding his motorbike when he collided with an Ambassador car and was fatally injured. The car driver Khader Mohideen was arrested.
