HYDERABAD: Gold and silver ornaments - worth over 4 lakhs, and Rs. 4,500 were stolen from a house at Dr. A. S. Rao Nagar in Kushaiguda on Saturday night. Kushaiguda detective sub-inspector B. Siddanna said that the miscreants broke into the house of T. Srinivas Reddy, a senior technical officer at ECIL, by breaking open the main door lock and stole 38 tolas of gold, 30 tolas of ornaments and cash. Mr. Reddy went to watch a movie along with his relatives when the theft took place.
Police register theft case
He returned home at around 12.05 a.m. on Sunday only to find his house burgled. The police registered a theft case under Section 379 of the IPC and launched a hunt to nab the miscreants.
