BANGALORE: The Vidhana Soudha police have arrested one person on charges of forging the signature of Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy to facilitate transfer of government officials. Police gave the name of the accused as Kumaraswamy (24), of Pandavapura, who was working on contract basis in the Vidhana Soudha. The forgery came to light when he was allegedly attempting to forward a fake recommendation letter with a forged signature of Mr. H.D. Kumaraswamy at the Chief Minister's Secretariat on Tuesday. The accused had reportedly approached a Janata Dal (Secular) leader from Sirsi, who could not meet the Chief Minister, and said he could "get the work done". It is learnt that when he was attempting to forward the recommendation letter to the Forest Department through the Chief Minister's Secretariat, officials questioned the accused, and the latter blamed senior officials. The accused was arrested on a complaint by the Chief Minister's Secretariat.
